A Profile of Offenders in Tyne and Wear, 2008/09 – An overview of the demographic profile of people arrested or charged with offences, identifying particular groups arrested or charged with disproportionate levels of crime (rather than convictions). The number of repeat offenders within the year has also been identified. Where the alleged crime was committed and the home address of the offender is analysed, along with the ‘disposal outcome’.  Analysis has been undertaken for notifiable and non-notifiable offences.  Also included is an analysis of Probation cases during 2008/09 in Tyne & Wear. 

Additional reports covering each of the five Tyne & Wear districts have also been produced.
