An account of physical and economic developments in the former Tyne and Wear Urban Development Area (UDA).  The main emphasis is on physical monitoring of land use, vacant industrial property and construction, with some employment and unemployment data and limited information on the ‘outputs’ of the Development Corporation.  Each report includes baseline data for 1988 and details of subsequent changes. This report includes expenditure by District.
